About Us
Our founder, Hüseyin Turgut, entered the sector in 1991 and worked as a sales representative until 1999, when he decided to start his own business. Between 1999 and 2007 he continued trading in the sector. In 2007 he decided to start manufacturing under the name Başak Kağıt Ltd. Şti., beginning with a single Z-fold dispenser towel machine. By expanding production capacity and the product range, the company reached a paper converting capacity of 250 tonnes per month. During this period it also started importing, which allowed it to serve the sector more broadly. In 2019 the company decided to automate production; this required a larger facility, and at the beginning of 2020 operations moved to Şekerpınar, Kocaeli. New machines have been added every year since 2020, and today Başak Kağıt operates with a production capacity of 500 tonnes per month.
